Global Web Design Awards is an independent showcase for the people who make the web better. Every entry is reviewed by hand. Strong work joins the collection as a Nominee, and the jury names Honorable Mentions and a Site of the Day.
How we judge
Each jury member scores four criteria from 1 to 10. The overall score is weighted: Design 40%, Usability 30%, Creativity 20% and Content 10%. Every juror's scores and remarks are published on the site's page. Community votes are shown alongside but never change the score.
Design 40%
Visual craft, typography, composition and a point of view.
Usability 30%
Clear structure, speed, accessibility, and it works on every screen.
Creativity 20%
Ideas we have not seen before, executed with confidence.
Content 10%
Writing and media that earn the visitor's attention.
Winner badges
Recognised sites get a badge that pins to the edge of their page and links back to their GWDA entry.
Winners receive their badge code by email from the GWDA team: a one-line script or plain HTML. The badge upgrades itself when the site wins a higher award.
The jury
Our international jury of designers, developers and studio leads will be announced soon.
